A flashmob from our dancers to start the day, a live digital art installation created in real time, and a panel on the future of creative talent with the people who help make it happen. We were honoured to join the Future Forum conference this year to celebrate the incredible talent and drive of our students, showing what's possible when a world class education is free and accessible to all. A huge thank you to Future Forum for having us, and to all of our incredible partners - including British Airways The Dr. Martens Foundation and Burberry who joined us on the day. By providing core resources and live industry insight to power our students' education, they're unlocking paths into one of the UK's fastest growing industries. Our Dance At Brit students bringing the energy to open Day 2 with a surprise flashmob! 💥 Setting the tone for a day of panels, presentations and discussions about the future, our students took the stage to show what's possible when young people are given the space, freedom, and trust to express who they truly are. Alongside our partners The Dr. Martens Foundation / Dr. Martens and British Airways we sat down with host Oli Barrett for an honest, insightful chat about why accessible creative education is so vital for the UK's future - and how industry support is vital to making it happen. We were also proud to be joined by BRIT alumnus and Burberry Bursary recipient, Nate, who shared how the backing of our partners during his time at BRIT provided access to essential resources, industry connections, and financial support that has directly shaped his journey into a creative career. What if we could turn an idea into an immersive digital world in minutes? Our BRIT School Digital Arts students did just that - creating live work in real time and giving the audience a glimpse of the ideas, technical craft, and creative possibilities happening in our studios every day. Four students, one massive journey 💥🎬 We sat down with the cast and creators of @classroomchronicles_play to hear how they've turned a 10-minute piece created at BRIT into a powerful full-length play about Black boyhood, friendship and freedom - now heading to the National Youth Theatre stage. It all started in July at the school's Global Majority Showcase - a platform for students to celebrate their identities, share their lived experiences and spotlight new perspectives. Together, they created a piece rooted in their own experiences as young Black boys. Now, they're taking it to a whole new level with the backing of director and co-dramaturg Steven Kavuma alongside BRIT teacher and Global Majority Showcase co-founder Lorraine Woodley-Bitmead. Their journey shows us what young people can do with their talent when they're given room to explore their creativity and the confidence to back their own ideas 💪 A huge congratulations to the whole @classroomchronicles_play team. We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Colin Woolway, founder of the Drumsense teaching programme and a much-loved member of the BRIT community. Colin had been playing and teaching drums professionally since 1976, with an extraordinary career spanning theatre, jazz, cabaret, variety, stadium tours and eight years with Suzi Quatro. He was also the author of the Drumsense books and DVDs and wrote a monthly column for Rhythm magazine for more than 20 years. For many years, Colin shared his knowledge, passion and experience with our students at BRIT, inspiring generations of young drummers, helping them to develop their craft and find their own musical voice. Thank you, Colin, for everything you gave to our students and the wider music community. Your passion, knowledge and generosity will be remembered by so many. Our thoughts are with Colin's family, friends, colleagues and all those who had the privilege of learning from him. #AlwaysBRIT
