The Music Department benefits from outstanding facilities including professionally equipped rehearsal rooms, recording studios, Apple Mac suites and a brand new Dolby Atmos immersive mixing facility. We use software such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Ableton alongside equipment from Marshall, Fender, Roland, Native Instruments and many other industry standard brands.

Two course options are available: ‘Music Route’ and ‘Music Technology Route’. For both routes we offer the UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Performance & Production (equivalent to 3 A Levels).

For Music Route you need to be a confident performer on at least one instrument or voice. As with KS 4, although we welcome applications from those whose main focus is songwriting, a high level of music performance skill is also required.

For Music Technology Route you will show a strong aptitude for and knowledge of music technology and production. You may also be a vocal or instrumental performer although this is not mandatory.
