Applied Theatre (UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing and Production Arts)

If you have a passion for performing arts and also want to discover how your skills can play more of a role than just on stage, the Applied Theatre course provides you with the practical skills to enrich, inform and transform the lives of others through performance. This is a unique, creative and energetic course which develops your performance and teaching skills as an artist as well as giving back to the community.
At Post 16 you will study for a UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing and Production Arts in Applied Theatre (equivalent to 3 A Levels).
As the only Level 3 course in the UK designed specifically to build skills in community arts delivery, you will train in areas such as theatre in education, teaching, facilitation, movement, singing and acting. You will also learn how to use the arts to explore a range of social topics and engage with the community. You will develop your skills as a professional, learning how to communicate with external clients and coordinate events which will equip you for a career in performance, events management, youth and community work, teaching and working in media (production and presenting). Our alumni have progressed to study at prestigious institutions such as Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, RADA and Rose Bruford.
